Sibylla was born to a young couple living in the capital city Reyse, and her birth was duly registered for prospective entry into Everthrone. Her father died of consumption when she was five, and her mother, after a period of mourning, married a childhood friend rather than be left alone with a young daughter to raise. Her upbringing was simple, her family's business was fair, and they were never left in want of anything, although Sibylla would at times watch the young ladies who came for measurements with a niggling sense of envy. Both her mother and stepfather were tailors, so she grew up knowing more about cloth and thread and embriodery than anything about magic. Everthorne was certain to offer her more than an ordinary life would, but she expected that she would eventually take up the same path as her mother, and that the testers would find no trace of magic in her. She was wrong.

So with the start of a new term, Sibylla now finds herself at the doorstep of Everthorne Academy, unsure of how much of an impression she will make, or if this is even the path she wants to follow.

Sibylla is a quiet girl who does what she is told without asking too many questions, not that she would be in a position to in the first place. She is intimidated and slightly envious of the nobles attending the academy, and keeps her distance from them unless she needs to or if the first approach has been made, but is otherwise quite friendly and helpful. She smiles often in trying to give the impression that she is enjoying her time in Everthrone, when in truth she is worried about the standard of her work, studies a little too hard for someone unsure if she wants to continue with magic, and misses her family and old life above all.

Sibylla has long, brown hair that she keeps tied up in ribbons and blue eyes. She is of average height, though a bit thin. She dresses well, but looks a little younger than her age.
